Due to the split with Upsilon Acrux are advised Honey Ride Me a Goat, from the English Kent in my musical range and have their business there four songs that can score that I wanted to listen to me right into their other publications. Not a bad decision, because its on 10 "vinyl served debut EP shows the cover about fifty different curry dishes (and a vollgeschissenenes loo), white with the band's own junk rock please. If they take their self-description of the J Jazz and the unk of punk, punk with the musical content, but my opinion is close to zero (more on this later).
The five songs lasting pleasure is unfortunately only a relatively short one. But just as one ton of spicy curry can not eat the whole thing, given the hectic and crowded breaks and ideas handed songs as a snack all the more digestible. Still crackles even a lot of hard-core listeners. Only the last song "Ryan raped me" time, it rattles not quite as bad in the box, taking it to the trio and his guest musicians on the singing saw, heard here, too difficult to pull themselves together completely.
The song titles tell abgespackte like the band photo in which they include with Darth Vader mask and pose in plaid skirt in a cornfield that especially the fun is in the foreground. This does not mean, for instance, that the English do not know what they are. Although her songs are mostly improvised in half, but while they are playing not just something purely at random, but play music go hand in hand with blind and understanding of the doings of their band mates, which should certainly be one reason why it Upsilon Acrux have designated one of their favourite bands.
The only thing that could be blamed for the band on this EP is the fact that they make the listener sometimes a little hard to einzugrooven. To manage the songs on the first page, just above the two-minute limit, and much more are also on the second page. But then they told her yes-rock junk like the punk-not really listen, this might be the bring the punkish approach that HRMAG. When the music connoisseur that is said to have just to get used, it is already over. Such an approach I'll find a very sympathetic, but who likes more epic things that should be better to steer clear of it, or shift down from 45rpm to 33rpm either...

BABYBLAUE-SEITEN (Translation)

This band's (jazz+punk) 'junk-rock' outing is as confusing as it is masterful. I see chickens crying, butchers laughing, sophistos slurping, Greeks entwining and old men reminiscing - all from twenty seconds of the aptly-titled, 'Ryan raped me'. Jazz in it's pace, math in it's deliverance and punk in it's attitude, HRMAG's music shifts tectonic plates in milliseconds, then returns them to their places quicker than before! Quick and complex, and (probably) thinking two shots ahead (y'know, like a snooker player), whatever comes next is sure to surprise as these guys seem hell bent on creating constantly different musical interventions , and the structure of the songs are nearly impossible to remember after first hearing... My only complaints being that they lack an aggression that I thought had been promised to me with the 'unk' part in their 'junk' music tag, also I now fear curry because of their artwork. This aside, this EP is "fucking great" by my standards. The musicianship is amazing - these guys must have great memories, and the melodies (however short and spasticated) are self-inflictive hooks that will bring you back to this 10" instantly. Despite its ability to confuse you, it's enough to provoke curiosity instead of disgust!

DIRTYZINE

The word 'unpredictable' is thrown about far too often in this magazine. Bands these days are trying to be as interesting as possible, but often just end up as a confused, pretentious rag-tag ball of noise. Trying to find the median between in controllably eclectic and creative song writing whilst trying to keep some form of musical sensibilities about them is a charm bands have been trying to master since the whole Othrelm / Lightning Bolt / Hella thing kicked off. Enter honey ride me a goat. A three piece instrumental band obsessed with spicy foods and the devotion to bewilder. To put it in short; try and guess which way honey ride me a goat are heading next and you'll end up in Narnia with a lion, a witch and a fucking wardrobe! What would be considered an awkward listen is simply addictive. Their brand of no-brand jazzy math rock is too structured to be 'noise', but too exhilarating to be anything other than something of a hybrid style. The breakneck drumming is supplemented by the stop-start riffagery of the guitar, whilst the popping and rhythmic bass holds the two together, making sure it doesn't spill over into that 'too big for it's boots' area. To end, all I can say is if you like your music bewildering but with it's head firmly on it's shoulders, you won't find a more fitting piece of wax to add to your collection! Rating: 8 out of 10 we say: yowza! Contain this in a box! We dares ya!

GINTRAMP

This is Junk (J-azz + p-UNK) that reeks of viscous curry flavoured insanity and hails from Chatham of all places! This EP is a must-have for all who like new, interesting instrumental guffins with sprinkles on top. HRMAG graced jersey's fair shores last October and enlightened us to exactly what musicianship is all about, with their own version of musical recipe-making, whipping out a whole five course meal in just 25 minutes...this is their debut release featuring five tunes that keep your absolute attention for the duration - which is over oh so soon...gotta release this on CD or I’m gonna soon wear it out! Humdinger at Harry clopp's is a corker; full of un-dance-able sprints, stops, breakdowns and sweet, sweet guitar chords, which jump along with stuttering, snappy snare and manic bass lines, and Ryan raped me (!) Is wrong, but wickedly brilliant with it's trippy shenanigans and haunting trumpet section. (Oh and there is also a free recipe for 'Garlic Lamb Clopp' courtesy of the onion included!) Get this record of die!!!
